Mas Selamat was being detained at the Whitley Road Detention Centre. Last year, Frebuary 2008, he had escaped from that place by climbing out from window in the toilet. Due to th prison guards carelessness, he managed a successful escape. A large manhunt followed his escape because he was a JI terrorist, however they were not able to find him. He had actually swum across the Singapore and Malaysian waters and arrived at the Johor shore. He evaded many attempts to capture him. After Singapore's tip-off last year, the Malaysian authorities eventually captured him and three other JI terrorists this year. Mas Selamat was captured on 1st of April. Why didn't the Malysian authorities announce his capture on that day or even that month itself? Why the drag? Is it because they have to interrogate him or what? Anyway, these are videos on Mas Selamat. We still have to be watchful to prevent such escapes of dangerous fugitives and what they are going to do to Singapore. The first two videos on PM Lee's speech is serious. It tells us about our problems and loopholes. He also tells us what we should do to prevent such incidents from happening again. The last video is some crap about Mas Selamat talking about his escape. You can ignore it as it is just a trivial matter.
